New rules of Application to study in Canada: Study permits

This application is for people who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and who wish to study temporarily in Canada. A study permit is issued if the application is accepted.

NEW: Canada introduced a new Application for a Study Permit Made Outside of Canada [IMM 1294] form. It comes with additional forms and an instruction guide. Please read the guide carefully as it contains important information on how to complete the form.

All applicants must complete and sign their own individual form, including persons travelling as a family. Applicants who are under the age of 18 years must have their form signed by a parent of guardian.

Eid al-Fitr begins Tuesday in United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, United Arab Amirat, Qatar

The new Moon of Shawwal  (Eidul fitr) has been sighted in Saudi Arabia.

Eidul-fitr Date:- Tuesday, August 30, 2011

BEIRUT: Saudi Arabia announced Monday that the Eid al-Fitr feast marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan will be on Tuesday.

Saudi religious authority said in a statement the new moon had been sighted and that Ramadan ends on Monday with the feast to follow the next day.

The Islamic calendar is a lunar one, and most Muslim countries set the beginning of Eid al-Fitr by the sighting of the new moon.
